Ok lets get this going, So one of the questions i get asked the most when at work or by visitors in the parks. What can i do other then theme parks and beaches? Well up till recently i would have said I-Drive or something like that. But over the past weekend my family and I had the amazing honor to be guests at The Ringling Circus Museum in Sarasota FL. now i understand Sarasota is not Orlando but to us locals we see Central Florida really anything within about 2 hours of Orlando.
Now The Ringling Circus Museum is a hidden gem. I say this because i have never heard of it and no one else i know of has ether. So upon arrival to this grand estate you are welcomed with beautiful architecture that is not normaly in Central Florida. They offer different tours around the property but also it can be done solo.

Now our day we focused on the Circus Museum not so much the art side of the house.
We started our day in the Asolo Theater where you learned a lot of the history of the Ringling Circus. you will see a HUGE model display of miniatures of what the Circus looked like in the hay day of its prime. i will say im not a huge circus fan but i was blow away and will say the first exhibit alone was worth the 1.5hr trip.

After that exhibit we moved onto the Circus Museum itself. this building held by far some amazing things. from turn of the century tools and equipment, to rail cars and the famous canon truck.. tons of history in one area.
We finished our day at the Museum with the Ca' D' Zan (The Ringling Mansion) i will say i did not think it would be as interesting as it was. from the floors to the ceiling it is a true site to be seen. if you come here you must go see this. you will be missing out if you skip it.
So how do i review this location. i give it 4 out of 5 stars and defently recomend it to anyone visiting our wonderful area. The price for admission at this time is $25 for adults, $5 for children 6-17 (5 and under free) and $23 for Senior Citizens +65. they are open from 10am to 5pm, daily and are located at 5401 Bay Shore Rd Sarasota FL 34243.
